October marks the launch of the six week long candle sales for the Dayspring Family Resource Center sponsored by the Lamplighter Orphan and Humanitarian ministry of the Shelter Community Church of the Nazarene in Dayton, Ohio.
What is Dayspring?
Dayspring, a family resource home for orphans in Tokmok, Krygzstan is the international focus of the Lamplighters Ministry. Dayspring’s purpose is to provide a family-type setting to children who otherwise would be placed in orphanages. Created and supported by LAMb International (www.lambinternational.blogspot.com) it is a model of care that is being noticed by government officials in Kyrygzstan.
Each and every day, children are removed from families and placed in one of the scores of orphanages across Kyrgyzstan The reality is that Dayspring cannot meet the needs of every child, but can touch the lives of the ones whom God sends.
Sensing a call by God to minister to live out James 1.27, Lamplighters is in the early stages of following what God wants them to do. This fund raising project is just the beginning.
In a few days, there will be much more specific information on how to purchase/sell candles. Stay tuned.
